Indications
Seretide Diskus is indicated for the treatment of asthma in patients requiring maintenance therapy, in those not adequately controlled with an inhaled corticosteroid alone. It is also indicated in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who require long-acting bronchodilator and corticosteroid treatment for symptom control. This medication combines a corticosteroid and a bronchodilator, providing symptom relief and improving lung function.
Composition
Each dose of Seretide Diskus contains 50 mcg of Salmeterol and 250 mcg of Fluticasone propionate.
Contraindications
Seretide is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with acute or uncontrolled asthma attacks requiring rescue treatment.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or respiratory infections. Lung function should be monitored, and the dose adjusted according to the patient's clinical response. Excessive use of bronchodilators can result in an increase in cardiovascular side effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
