Indications
Rolet-Sup is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication combines two active ingredients: Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and Hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic. Together, these components work to reduce blood pressure, which can help lower the risk of cardiovascular events related to hypertension. It is recommended that therapy be adjusted to the individual needs of the patient, considering factors such as age, presence of coexisting conditions, and response to treatment.
Composition
Each Rolet-Sup tablet contains: 80 mg of Telmisartan and 12.5 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide, as well as necessary excipients for the formulation.
Contraindications
Rolet-Sup is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with anuria or in those with a history of severe adverse reactions to sulfonamide-containing medications, due to the presence of Hydrochlorothiazide. Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment or those with severe liver diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gout, diabetes mellitus, hypokalemia, or dehydration. It is important to monitor renal function and serum potassium levels during treatment, especially in older adults or in patients with pre-existing conditions that may affect renal function. Care should also be taken in patients who are receiving other antihypertensive medications or diuretics.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
