Indications
Rolet is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. It can also be used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes, as well as in those with a history of cardiovascular disease. Blood pressure monitoring is recommended during treatment and dose adjustments should be made according to the patient's clinical response.
Composition
Each Rolet tablet contains 80 mg of telmisartan as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to telmisartan or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with severe hepatic impairment or those requiring dialysis due to compromised renal function.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of angioedema, renal artery stenosis, renal insufficiency, or those undergoing diuretic treatment. It is important to evaluate renal function before and during treatment. The use of this medication in combination with other antihypertensives is not recommended without proper medical supervision.
Storage
Rolet should be stored in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
