Indications
Presone-1 is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. This medication acts as a calcium channel blocker, which allows the relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, thereby decreasing peripheral vascular resistance and reducing blood pressure. Additionally, it is used in the management of angina pectoris, helping to decrease the frequency and intensity of anginal episodes. In some cases, it may be used as part of a treatment regimen for heart failure, in combination with other therapeutic agents, as determined by the treating physician.
Composition
Each Presone-1 tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine (as besylate) as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, and other inactive components that facilitate the product's formulation and bioavailability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amlodipine or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, or those with severe aortic stenosis. Likewise, it should be avoided in pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless medical evaluation indicates otherwise.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Presone-1 to patients with liver disease, renal insufficiency, or those undergoing treatment with other antihypertensives. Regular blood pressure monitoring is essential during treatment. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate cardiac function in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
