Indications
Pisaurit (fluoxetine) is indicated for the treatment of mood disorders, including major depression in adults. It is also used for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults and children over 7 years of age. Additionally, it can be effective in the management of panic disorder with or without agoraphobia. Fluoxetine acts as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), improving mood and overall patient functionality.
Composition
Each Pisaurit capsule contains 20 mg of fluoxetine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or to those who have stopped taking an MAOI within the last two weeks. Its use is also not recommended in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Pisaurit to patients with a history of seizure disorders, mania, or hypomania, as it may precipitate manic episodes. It is important to monitor for the emergence of suicidal thoughts, especially during the first months of treatment or when making dose changes. The risk-benefit ratio should be carefully evaluated in patients with a history of substance abuse.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
