Indications
Oestrogel is indicated for the treatment of menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and mood swings in menopausal women. This medication is intended for women who have not had menstrual bleeding for at least 12 months. Additionally, Oestrogel can be used as a treatment for postmenopausal osteoporosis in women at high risk of fractures, as well as in the treatment of hypogonadism in women requiring estrogen therapy.
Composition
Each 100 g of Oestrogel contains 0.06 g of estradiol. Excipients: purified water, ethyl alcohol, carbomer, propylene glycol, methylparaben, propylparaben, among others.
Contraindications
Oestrogel is contraindicated in patients with a history of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, active liver disease, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, and in women with known hypersensitivity to estradiol or any of the excipients of the medication.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Oestrogel to patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and in those with a history of migraines or depression. Regular medical follow-up is important to assess the need to continue treatment and monitor possible adverse effects.
Storage
Oestrogel should be stored in its original container, protected from light and at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
