Indications
Mefiros (Progesterone) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to progesterone deficiency. Its use is essential in the management of menstrual disorders, including amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea. Additionally, it is prescribed in fertility treatments for endometrial preparation before embryo implantation, as well as in hormone replacement therapy for women experiencing menopausal symptoms. It can also be used in the treatment of threatened miscarriage in pregnant women with a history of spontaneous abortions, under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
Composition
Each Mefiros capsule contains 100 mg of Progesterone as the active ingredient. Excipients: gelatin, glycerin, and other inactive excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to progesterone or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in cases of undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, breast or uterine cancer, and active thrombophlebitis or thromboembolic disorders.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of migraines, severe depression, diabetes, hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases. It is important to inform the doctor about any concomitant treatments and the patient's general health status before starting treatment with Mefiros.
Storage
Store this medication at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
