Indications
Luminance is indicated for the treatment of menstrual disorders, as well as for birth control. This medication combines two hormones, Dienogest and Ethinylestradiol, which work together to prevent ovulation and regulate the menstrual cycle. It is used in women seeking a contraceptive option and in those who experience irregularities in their menstrual cycle, such as amenorrhea or dysmenorrhea. In addition, it can be used in the treatment of endometriosis, as it helps reduce the pain associated with this condition and regulate menstrual symptoms. It is important to consult a doctor to determine if Luminance is suitable for each patient based on their specific health conditions.
Composition
Each Luminance tablet contains: 2 mg Dienogest and 0.3 mg Ethinylestradiol.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, cardiovascular diseases, breast or uterine cancer, as well as in those who are allergic to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is advised in women suffering from liver diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol. Regular medical follow-up is essential during treatment, especially if unusual symptoms occur. Concomitant use with certain medications that may affect the efficacy of Luminance is suggested to be avoided.
