Indications
Lodestar is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults and children over 6 years of age. It is also used for renal protection in type 2 diabetic patients with hypertension, as well as for reducing the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. Additionally, it can be used in the management of heart failure in patients who cannot tolerate treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.
Composition
Each Lodestar tablet contains 50 mg of Losartan as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that enable the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
Lodestar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Losartan or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to pregnant women during the second and third trimesters of gestation, as it can cause fetal harm. Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Lodestar to patients with a history of angioedema, hepatic insufficiency, or those undergoing treatment with diuretics. It is important to monitor blood pressure and renal function during treatment. Its use in combination with other antihypertensives is not recommended without proper medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
