Indications
Lodestar is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Additionally, it is used for reducing the risk of stroke in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy. It is also indicated in patients with heart failure and in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and proteinuria, to improve renal function.
Composition
Each Lodestar tablet contains 100 mg of losartan, as well as necessary excipients for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to losartan or to any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation. It is also contraindicated in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis or in those with a single renal artery, and in those who present anuria.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Lodestar in patients with a history of angioedema, hepatic or renal insufficiency, renal artery stenosis, as well as in patients who are taking diuretics or who are at risk of hypotension. It is important to monitor blood pressure and renal function during treatment.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
