Indications
Ilimit is indicated for pregnancy prevention. Its formulation combines two hormones, Drospirenone and Ethinylestradiol, which act together to inhibit ovulation and alter the endometrium. This medication is used by women of childbearing age who desire an effective contraceptive method. Additionally, it can help regulate the menstrual cycle and reduce the intensity of menstrual bleeding.
Composition
Each Ilimit tablet contains:
- Drospirenone: 3 mg
- Ethinylestradiol: 0.03 mg
Contraindications
Ilimit is not recommended for use in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the formula.
- Deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism.
- Severe liver diseases.
- Breast cancer or reproductive organ cancer.
- Vaginal bleeding of unknown origin.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in women with a history of cardiovascular problems, hypertension, diabetes, migraines, or coagulation disorders. Regular medical follow-up is important to ensure an adequate response to treatment. It is also important to warn about the possibility of interactions with other medications that may affect the efficacy of Ilimit.
