Indications
Icaden cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi sensitive to isoconazole, including dermatophytes and yeasts. It is particularly effective in the treatment of tinea, cutaneous candidiasis, and other superficial mycoses. The cream works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, which leads to cell death and eradication of the infection. Its use is indicated in affected skin areas, and it can be applied to clean, dry skin, following the prescribing physician's instructions.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Isoconazole nitrate 1 g as the active ingredient, as well as excipients such as purified water, glycerol, and other components that facilitate the application and absorption of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isoconazole or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended on skin areas with open wounds or severe lesions. Likewise, its application on mucous membranes and eyes should be avoided.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals. It is essential to avoid prolonged sun exposure in treated areas. In case of irritation or adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued, and a doctor should be consulted. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
