Indications

Fucidin Ointment is a medication indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by bacteria sensitive to fusidic acid. It is indicated for conditions such as:

  • Impetigo
  • Folliculitis
  • Wound infections
  • Infectious dermatitis
  • Secondary infections of eczema
Fusidic acid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in the death of the bacteria responsible for the infection.

Composition

Each 100 g of ointment contains 2 g of fusidic acid. Excipients: liquid paraffin, lanolin, among others.

Contraindications

Fucidin Ointment is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fusidic acid or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be applied to open wounds or mucous membranes.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with a history of atopic dermatitis or any type of skin sensitivity. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Prolonged use of the product without medical supervision is not recommended.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
