Indications
Flexakocs (Celecoxib) is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, as well as for the relief of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. This medication works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX-2) enzyme, which is responsible for the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. Additionally, it can be used in the management of pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions and in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. It is recommended that the use of Flexakocs be supervised by a healthcare professional, who can determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's specific conditions.
Composition
Each capsule contains 200 mg of celecoxib as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Flexakocs is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to celecoxib or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or severe heart failure. Furthermore, its use is contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or kidney disease. Medical monitoring is recommended if adverse reactions occur or if the patient experiences gastrointestinal symptoms. Likewise, it is suggested to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in elderly patients or those with multiple medical conditions.
