Indications
Exotib Duo is indicated for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in adults and children over 10 years of age. This medication is used in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia, in combination with an appropriate diet and exercise. It is also indicated in patients with established cardiovascular disease to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, as well as in those who experience intolerance to other lipid-lowering therapies. Ezetimibe acts by inhibiting the intestinal absorption of cholesterol, while simvastatin acts by reducing cholesterol production in the liver.
Composition
Each Exotib Duo tablet contains 10 mg of Ezetimibe and 20 mg of Simvastatin, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease or persistent elevations of transaminases, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, diabetes mellitus, or those who consume excessive alcohol. It is recommended to perform liver function tests before starting treatment and monitor them periodically during use.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
