Indications
Daivobet Gel is indicated for the topical treatment of plaque psoriasis in adults. The combination of calcipotriol, a vitamin D analog, and betamethasone, a corticosteroid, works by reducing skin cell proliferation and decreasing inflammation, resulting in significant improvement of psoriatic lesions. This medication can be used in body areas where psoriasis appears more intensely, such as elbows, knees, and scalp.
Composition
Each 100 g of gel contains: 5 mg calcipotriol and 50 mg betamethasone. Excipients: gel base, preservatives, and other additives necessary for the formulation.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the product components, untreated skin infections, as well as in patients with calcium metabolism disorders. It should not be applied to the face, intertriginous areas, or skin affected by rosacea or perioral dermatitis.
Precautions
Use with caution in patients with calcium metabolism disorders. Prolonged use or use on large body areas is not recommended. Prolonged sun exposure on treated areas should be avoided. If adverse effects occur, treatment should be discontinued, and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
