Indications
Coriatros is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication acts as an angiotensin II receptor blocker, which helps relax blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Additionally, it is used in chronic heart failure, as part of a combined therapy to improve cardiac function and reduce associated morbidity and mortality. It is essential to follow the doctor's instructions to adjust the dose according to the patient's needs and their response to treatment.
Composition
Each tablet contains 25 mg of Candesartan Cilexetil as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Candesartan Cilexetil or any of the excipients. It should not be used in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs). Likewise, it is contraindicated during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy and in cases of bilateral renal artery stenosis or in a single functional kidney.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renal insufficiency, renovascular hypertension, and in those with dehydration or hypovolemia. Monitoring of blood pressure and renal function is recommended during treatment. The doctor should be informed about any other medications being used, as well as about a history of cardiovascular diseases.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
