Indications
Briviact is indicated as adjunctive treatment in patients aged 16 years and older with focal (partial) epilepsy who are not adequately controlled with other antiepileptic drugs. Its efficacy in reducing the frequency of epileptic seizures has been proven. Its use should be evaluated based on the patient's clinical response and tolerance to treatment. It is important to follow the prescribing physician's instructions to adjust the dose and ensure proper management of the treatment.
Composition
Each Briviact tablet contains 100 mg of Brivaracetam, as well as excipients that ensure the stability and efficacy of the medication. The formulation is presented in tablets to facilitate administration and dosage of the drug.
Contraindications
Briviact is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to brivaracetam or any of the excipients in the formulation. Special care should be taken in patients with a history of allergic reactions to similar medications. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Briviact to patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as well as those with renal insufficiency. It is essential to monitor for adverse effects and treatment response, adjusting the dose if necessary. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is not recommended, as this can trigger an increase in the frequency of epileptic seizures.
Storage
Store the product in its original packaging, at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
