Indications
Batensiar is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events and associated complications. It is also used in the treatment of stable chronic heart failure, where it has been shown to improve quality of life and reduce mortality in patients with this condition. Its mechanism of action is based on the selective antagonism of beta-1 adrenergic receptors, which results in a reduction in heart rate and myocardial contractility, as well as peripheral vasodilation. It is important to adequately monitor the patient to adjust the dose according to clinical response and tolerance.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Nebivolol 5 mg. Excipients: Lactose, starch, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
Batensiar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nebivolol or to any of the excipients. It should not be administered in cases of severe bradycardia, second and third-degree atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, and in patients with asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with chronic lung diseases, diabetes mellitus, and those with a history of allergic reactions. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment. Dose reduction should be considered in patients over 65 years of age or those with renal or hepatic impairment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
