Indications
Yectafhal (Vancomycin) is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections. It is used in the treatment of pneumonia, urinary tract infections, endocarditis, and osteomyelitis. Furthermore, it is effective in the management of infections associated with medical devices and in cases of sepsis caused by bacteria resistant to other antibiotics. It is important to perform a culture and antibiogram to ensure the sensitivity of the pathogens to vancomycin treatment.
Composition
Each vial contains Vancomycin 500 mg, excipients: water for injection, hydrochloric acid, and other stabilizing agents.
Contraindications
Yectafhal is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to vancomycin or any of the components of the formulation. It should also be avoided in patients who present severe allergic reactions to other glycopeptide class antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hearing disorders, as vancomycin may be associated with ototoxicity. Renal function monitoring is recommended in patients with renal insufficiency, and the dose should be adjusted as necessary. It is essential to monitor plasma concentration to avoid toxicity, especially during prolonged treatments.

Store at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
