Indications

Xenopir-Gel is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders related to stomach acid, such as gastritis, esophagitis, peptic ulcers, and dyspepsia. This medication works by neutralizing excess acid in the stomach, providing rapid relief of associated symptoms. Additionally, Dimethicone helps reduce the formation of gas bubbles in the gastrointestinal tract, which contributes to decreasing abdominal distension and associated discomfort.

Composition

Each sachet of Xenopir-Gel contains: 80 mg Magaldrate and 10 mg Dimethicone. Excipients: purified water, sorbitol, among others.

Contraindications

This medication should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It is contraindicated in individuals with severe renal insufficiency and in those with intestinal obstruction. Its use is not recommended in combination with other aluminum-containing medications, as it may increase the risk of toxicity.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney disease or severe gastrointestinal problems.
