Indications

Wadil is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, especially in patients who are unable to adequately control their blood glucose levels through diet and exercise. This medication combines two hypoglycemic agents: metformin, which helps reduce glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity, and glibenclamide, which stimulates insulin secretion by the pancreas. Wadil is used as part of a therapeutic regimen that includes lifestyle changes, such as a balanced diet and regular physical activity. It is important that this medication be used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each Wadil tablet contains 500 mg of metformin and 5 mg of glibenclamide, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Wadil is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metformin, glibenclamide, or any of the product's components. It should not be used in cases of type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal insufficiency, severe liver disease, or during pregnancy and lactation, unless otherwise directed by a doctor. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to sulfonylureas.

Precautions

Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels and renal function is necessary during treatment with Wadil. Patients should be informed about the signs of hypoglycemia and the importance of proper diet and physical activity control. In addition, caution is recommended in older individuals or those with concomitant diseases that may affect their metabolic health.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
