Indications
Vo-Remi is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with various conditions, as well as for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness or vertigo. Meclizine, an antihistamine, acts by blocking H1 receptors, which helps reduce sensations of nausea and dizziness. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is used to complement treatment in cases of vomiting, promoting nervous system regulation and contributing to the reduction of gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication is frequently used in situations of motion sickness, as well as in vestibular disorders.
Composition
Each Vo-Remi ampule contains 25 mg of meclizine and 50 mg of pyridoxine.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with obstructive respiratory diseases, narrow-angle glaucoma, or in those who are undergoing treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate the use of Vo-Remi in elderly patients, as they may be more susceptible to the adverse effects of meclizine. Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment, as it may increase the sedative effects of the medication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct light and temperatures above 30°C.
