Indications

Versalver is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which causes blood vessel dilation and, consequently, a decrease in blood pressure. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of heart failure and in reducing the risk of cardiovascular death in patients with left ventricular dysfunction after a myocardial infarction.

Composition

Each tablet contains 160 mg of Valsartan as the active ingredient. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Versalver is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to valsartan or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or with idiopathic angioedema. It should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with renal insufficiency, hepatic insufficiency, renal artery stenosis, and in those with a history of angioedema. It is important to monitor blood pressure and kidney function during treatment. Its use in combination with other antihypertensives is not recommended without appropriate medical supervision.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
