Indications

Venlafaxine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive episodes in adults. It is also used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. The effectiveness of Venlafaxine is based on its ability to increase the concentration of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, which helps to improve mood and reduce anxiety. It is important that the use of this medication is under medical supervision, as the treatment must be adapted to the individual needs of the patient.

Composition

Each capsule contains 75 mg of venlafaxine as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to venlafaxine or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients receiving treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of manic episodes.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hypertension, heart disease, epilepsy, or bleeding disorders. Monitoring is also suggested in patients at risk of suicide, as well as in those who experience discontinuation symptoms when stopping treatment. The administration of venlafaxine in combination with other antidepressants or medications that affect the central nervous system must be carried out under strict medical supervision.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
