Indications

Venlafaxine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders, as well as for the management of generalized anxiety disorders and social anxiety disorders. Venlafaxine acts as a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which helps to improve mood and reduce anxiety in patients suffering from these disorders. Its use may be considered in patients who have not responded adequately to other antidepressant treatments.

Composition

Each capsule of Venlafaxine 75 mg contains 75 mg of venlafaxine as the active ingredient, in addition to the excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to venlafaxine or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients with a history of serotonin syndrome.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizure disorders, cardiovascular disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, and in those who consume alcohol. It is important to adequately monitor patients during treatment, especially at the beginning and when dosage changes are made, due to the risk of suicidal thoughts, especially in adolescents and young adults.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
