Indications
Valtrover M (Montelukast) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of asthma symptoms in adults and children older than 12 months. It is useful for the control of bronchoconstriction associated with triggers such as physical exercise and exposure to environmental allergens. It is also used for the relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, itching, and nasal congestion. It may also be beneficial in the management of non-allergic rhinitis in patients experiencing nasal congestion and other related symptoms.
Composition
Each tablet of Valtrover M contains 5 mg of Montelukast as an active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the product.
Contraindications
Valtrover M is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Montelukast or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients experiencing acute asthma attacks or in emergency situations requiring fast-acting bronchodilators.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions, as well as in those with severe liver diseases. It is important to monitor patients for the appearance of neuropsychiatric symptoms, as isolated cases of changes in behavior and mood have been reported.
Storage
Store the medication in its original packaging at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
