Indications
Magnesium Valproate is indicated for the treatment of seizure disorders, including tonic-clonic seizures, partial seizures, and mixed seizures. It is also used in the treatment of behavioral disorders and in the prevention of migraines. This medication works by stabilizing electrical activity in the brain and modulating neurotransmitter release. Its use should be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's specific condition.
Composition
Each ml of Magnesium Valproate Drops contains 200 mg of magnesium valproate as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
The use of Magnesium Valproate is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to valproate or any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in people with severe liver diseases, urea cycle disorders, and in pregnant women unless considered absolutely necessary.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Magnesium Valproate to patients with a history of hematological disorders, liver diseases, or those taking other medications that may affect the liver.
