Indications

Traxicoll IM is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections caused by ceftriaxone-susceptible microorganisms. These infections may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Intra-abdominal infections.
  • Bacterial meningitis.
  • Sepsis.

Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to the death of susceptible bacteria.

Composition

Each ampoule of Traxicoll IM contains 1 g of ceftriaxone sodium, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration.

Contraindications

Traxicoll IM is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ceftriaxone or any other component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia or who require treatment with calcium solutions.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renal or hepatic disease, as well as in those receiving anticoagulant treatment. It is important to monitor renal function in patients receiving high doses or prolonged treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
  4. Orders received after 2:00 PM will be shipped the next day.
