Indications

Tramadol/Paracetamol is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. This medication combines two analgesic agents that act synergistically to relieve pain. It is used in situations where effective pain control is required, such as post-operative pain, traumatic injuries, or chronic conditions causing intense pain. The analgesic action of Tramadol occurs through the inhibition of serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake, while Paracetamol primarily acts on the central nervous system, raising the pain threshold and providing a limited anti-inflammatory effect.

Composition

Each tablet contains: 37.5 mg of Tramadol (as Tramadol hydrochloride) and 325 mg of Paracetamol.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the medication, in those with a history of substance abuse, as well as in patients with severe respiratory insufficiency or uncontrolled epilepsy. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 2 weeks after their use.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, renal or hepatic insufficiency, as well as in those receiving other medications that may affect the central nervous system. It is important to monitor patients for the possibility of adverse effects, as well as the occurrence of allergic reactions.
