Indications

Tramadol 100 mg is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is used in situations where pain cannot be adequately controlled with non-opioid analgesics. Its use is appropriate in the management of postoperative pain, oncological pain, and pain associated with chronic conditions. This medication acts on the central nervous system, altering the perception and response to pain.

Composition

Each tablet contains 100 mg of Tramadol (as hydrochloride) and excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among other inactive components.

Contraindications

Tramadol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tramadol or any of the excipients. It should not be administered to patients with acute intoxication by alcohol, hypnotics, opioid analgesics, or psychotropic drugs. It is also contraindicated in patients with uncontrolled epilepsy and those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Tramadol to patients with a history of opioid addiction, respiratory depression, severe liver or kidney diseases. It may cause drowsiness and affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. Patients should be monitored for signs of adverse reactions, especially during the first days of treatment.

Storage

Store the medication in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
