Indications

Tramadol 100 mg/2 ml is an analgesic used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is indicated for the management of postoperative pain, cancer-related pain, and chronic pain in patients who do not respond adequately to other analgesics. Its mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake, which contributes to its analgesic effect. Its use is recommended in patients who require effective pain control and who do not have contraindications for its administration.

Composition

Each ampoule contains Tramadol hydrochloride equivalent to 100 mg of Tramadol, in addition to previously established excipients.

Contraindications

Tramadol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to tramadol or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered to patients who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and those with a history of opioid dependence or seizure disorders. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe respiratory insufficiency or in a comatose state.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or seizure disorders, as well as in those with severe liver or kidney disease. The use of Tramadol can lead to dependence and withdrawal syndrome if stopped abruptly. It is important to monitor patients for signs of abuse or dependence.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
