Indications

Topiramate is indicated for the treatment of epilepsy in adults and children over 2 years of age, as adjunctive therapy in partial onset seizures or generalized tonic-clonic seizures. It is also used for the prevention of migraine in adults. Topiramate has been shown to be effective in the management of certain psychiatric disorders, although its use for this purpose must be evaluated and monitored by a physician. Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional, considering the patient's condition and their response to treatment.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Topiramate 25 mg. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, anhydrous colloidal silica, magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Topiramate is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to topiramate or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of metabolic acidosis. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney or liver disease.

Precautions

It is important to monitor patients during treatment with Topiramate, as adverse effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, and mood changes may occur. Careful evaluation is recommended in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as well as in those receiving other medications that may affect the central nervous system.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
