Indications
Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension in adults. The combination of these two components enhances the antihypertensive effect, providing more effective blood pressure control. Telmisartan acts as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, while hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps lower blood pressure by eliminating excess sodium and water from the body. This medication can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensives.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Telmisartan 80 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components. It should not be used in patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal failure or those with hypokalemia.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, mild to moderate renal failure, or those taking other antihypertensive medications. It is advisable to monitor blood pressure and electrolytes during treatment. In elderly patients, an adjustment in the initial dose is suggested to avoid adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
