Indications
Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for the treatment of hypertension in adults. This medication combines an angiotensin II receptor blocker (Telmisartan) and a thiazide diuretic (Hydrochlorothiazide), allowing for a dual approach to blood pressure control. It is particularly useful for patients who have not achieved adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy. Additionally, it can be used in the management of hypertension in patients with comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, in whom more rigorous blood pressure control is required. The combination of these two agents improves antihypertensive efficacy and can reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled hypertension.
Composition
Each tablet contains: 80 mg Telmisartan and 12.5 mg Hydrochlorothiazide.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with anuria or severe renal insufficiency. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hepatic insufficiency, kidney disease, or altered electrolytes. Regular monitoring of renal function and electrolytes is recommended during treatment. Likewise, the risk of hypotension should be assessed in patients who are being treated with diuretics or antihypertensives.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
