Indications

Telmisartan 80 mg is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension. It is used for blood pressure control in adults and can be administered alone or in combination with other antihypertensives. In addition, Telmisartan has been shown to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension and other risk factors.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Telmisartan 80 mg and excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Telmisartan is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to telmisartan or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema associated with previous ACE inhibitor treatments. It is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of renal insufficiency, liver disease, or those taking other medications that may affect blood pressure. It is advisable to monitor renal function and electrolytes during treatment. Treatment should not be initiated in patients with dehydration or hypovolemia.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 ºC. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
