Indications
Supratex Syrup is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dry cough, which can be caused by various respiratory conditions. It is useful in cases of non-productive irritating cough, helping to relieve the sensation of itching and discomfort in the throat. This medication acts centrally to suppress the cough reflex, providing temporary relief and improving the patient's quality of life during episodes of persistent cough.
Composition
Each 100 ml of syrup contains: Levodropropizine 600 mg, excipients: sucrose, sorbitol, glycerol, citric acid, cherry essence, and purified water.
Contraindications
Supratex Syrup is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to levodropropizine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with productive cough or in those with severe respiratory insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of chronic respiratory diseases or in those who are being treated with other medications that may affect respiratory function. This medication should be used with care in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than a week.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
