Indications

Supacid (Pantoprazole) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production. Key indications include:

  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in adults, relieving symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation.
  • Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics for the treatment of peptic ulcers.
  • Treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as ulcers associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy.
  • Prevention of gastric ulcers in high-risk patients, particularly those requiring long-term NSAID treatment.

Composition

Each Supacid tablet contains 20 mg of Pantoprazole, along with excipients that allow for product formulation.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pantoprazole or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in individuals under 18 years of age, unless specifically indicated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, as dose adjustment may be necessary. Patients presenting with persistent gastrointestinal symptoms, such as dysphagia or unexplained weight loss, should be monitored to rule out malignant conditions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
