Indications

Sistopres is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension. It is also used in the management of angina pectoris, as it acts as a calcium channel blocker, which allows the relaxation of blood vessels and the reduction of vascular resistance. Its use may be beneficial in patients with coronary artery disease, as well as in those requiring blood pressure control in cases of secondary hypertension. This medication can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensives to optimize blood pressure control.

Composition

Each Sistopres tablet contains 5 mg of Amlodipine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

The use of Sistopres is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of cardiogenic shock, severe heart failure, and during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly necessary and under appropriate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when using Sistopres in patients with hepatic or renal insufficiency, as well as in those with aortic narrowing. It is advisable to monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly during treatment. Patients with a history of ischemic heart disease should be evaluated before starting treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
