Indications
Robotek is indicated for the reduction of elevated levels of total cholesterol, LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, and triglycerides in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is also used in the prevention of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients, as well as in the reduction of mortality in patients with established cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme, which results in a decrease in hepatic cholesterol synthesis and an increase in LDL uptake by the liver.
Composition
Each Robotek tablet contains 10 mg of rosuvastatin as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Robotek is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with active liver disease, elevated blood transaminase levels, and in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, or those who are undergoing treatment with medications that may interact with rosuvastatin. Regular monitoring of transaminase levels is important in these patients. In case of signs of myopathy, treatment discontinuation should be considered.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
