Indications
Pregabalin is indicated for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures in adults with epilepsy. In addition, it is used in the management of generalized anxiety disorder. This medication works by modulating the release of certain neurotransmitters, which can help reduce pain perception and anxiety in patients. It is important that the use of this medication be under the supervision of a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment for each patient.
Composition
Each tablet contains 150 mg of pregabalin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pregabalin or any of the components of the formula. Likewise, it should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women, unless strictly necessary and under appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with renal insufficiency or conditions that may affect the absorption and elimination of the medication. It is essential that patients inform their doctor about any other medications they are taking to avoid interactions.
