Indications
Nuvaplast is indicated for the treatment of various malignant neoplasms, including ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and other solid tumors. Its mechanism of action is based on the formation of cross-links in the DNA of cancer cells, which prevents their replication and promotes cell death. It is important that the use of Nuvaplast be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the type and stage of cancer, as well as the patient's response to treatment.
Composition
Each ampoule of Nuvaplast contains Carboplatin at a concentration of 150 mg/15 ml. In addition, excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the medication are included.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Carboplatin or other similar compounds, as well as in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to platinum derivatives. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in patients with compromised renal function or in those with active infections.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of hematological diseases, kidney or liver problems. Regular monitoring of hematological parameters is essential, as Nuvaplast can cause myelosuppression. It is recommended to inform the doctor about any other medications the patient is taking to avoid interactions. During treatment, infection prevention measures should be considered due to the risk of neutropenia.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.
