Indications
Normex Suspension is indicated for the treatment of occasional constipation, as it acts as an osmotic laxative that helps increase the amount of water in the intestine, thus facilitating bowel movements. It is also used in the management of heartburn and as an antacid in situations of gastric discomfort. This medication can be used in adults and children over 12 years of age, as directed by a physician.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Normex Suspension contains: Milk of Magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) 8.5 g. Excipients: purified water, flavorings, and preservatives.
Contraindications
Normex Suspension is contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency, intestinal obstruction, and those with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in conditions requiring immediate surgical intervention or in patients with severe dehydration.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney disease, as well as in those undergoing treatment with medications that affect kidney function or electrolyte balance. Prolonged use of laxatives should be avoided, as it can lead to dependence. It is important to consult a doctor before starting treatment, especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
