Indications
Metamizole sodium is used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain, as well as in the reduction of fever. It is effective in situations where common analgesics may not be sufficient, such as in the management of postoperative pain, cancer-related pain, and colic. It is also indicated in cases of high fever that do not respond to other antipyretics. The efficacy of metamizole is supported by its rapid action and its ability to provide relief in severe painful conditions.
Composition
Each tablet contains 500 mg of metamizole sodium as an active ingredient. Excipients: starch, magnesium stearate, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to metamizole or other pyrazolones. It should not be administered in cases of acute intermittent porphyria, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, and in patients with conditions that predispose to agranulocytosis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, hematological diseases, or those receiving treatments that may affect hematological function. Adequate monitoring is important in elderly patients, as well as in those with cardiovascular or kidney diseases.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
