Indications

Mavidol is indicated for the treatment of acute moderate to severe pain. It is commonly used in situations requiring effective analgesia, such as surgical procedures, traumatic injuries, and postoperative pain. This medication combines two analgesics: ketorolac, which acts as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and tramadol, an opioid analgesic. The combination of both provides a synergistic effect that can improve pain control in different conditions. It is important that its use is under medical prescription and adequate supervision, considering the nature of the pain and the patient's response to treatment.

Composition

Each Mavidol tablet contains: 10 mg of Ketorolac and 25 mg of Tramadol.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its components, in those with active peptic ulcers, bleeding disorders, severe renal insufficiency, and in patients who have received monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last 14 days. Additionally, its use is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy and during lactation.

Precautions

Special precautions should be taken in patients with a history of substance abuse, central nervous system depression, and those with liver or kidney diseases. It is advisable to monitor elderly or debilitated patients, as they may be more susceptible to adverse effects. Combination with other analgesics is not recommended without proper supervision from a healthcare professional.
