Lalpro is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and stable angina pectoris. Amlodipine, its active ingredient, acts as a calcium channel blocker, which helps reduce peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure. Furthermore, it can be used in the prevention of anginal episodes in patients with coronary heart disease. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dose and the most effective treatment regimen for each patient.
Composition
Each tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine (as amlodipine besylate) as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Lalpro is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to amlodipine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should also be avoided in cases of cardiogenic shock, unstable angina, and in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with heart failure, liver disease, or those who are under treatment with other antihypertensives. It is essential to monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly. Administration in elderly patients may require dose adjustments. Use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
