Indications
Isoconazole cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi, including dermatomycosis and tinea. Its use is effective in the management of superficial infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and other susceptible fungi. Its application is recommended in cases of cutaneous candidiasis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and athlete's foot. It is also useful in the treatment of lesions associated with secondary fungal infections and in reducing inflammation and itching caused by these conditions.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains 1 g of isoconazole as the active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, among other components that facilitate formulation and skin absorption.
Contraindications
Isoconazole is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isoconazole or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended on extensive skin lesions or on areas of skin with open lesions or significant erythema. It should not be applied to mucous membranes or eyes.
Precautions
Care should be taken when applying Isoconazole cream to patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals. It is important to avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation or worsening of the skin condition occurs, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. It is recommended to follow the instructions for use and duration of treatment that the doctor deems necessary.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children.
