Indications

Irbesartan/Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of irbesartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, and hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure. This therapy is recommended for patients whose hypertension is not adequately controlled with a single antihypertensive medication. It can also be used as part of a broader treatment regimen that includes other antihypertensives, as per the patient's clinical needs.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Irbesartan 150 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation. It is also contraindicated in patients with anuria or severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of angioneurotic edema, renal artery stenosis, hepatic insufficiency, or those undergoing treatment with diuretics. Renal function and electrolytes should be monitored, especially in elderly patients or those with pre-existing pathological conditions that may predispose to electrolyte imbalances.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
