Indications

Indozul is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) and anxiety disorders. It has also been indicated for the management of bulimia nervosa episodes and in some cases of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). Fluoxetine works by increasing serotonin levels in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety.

Composition

Each Indozul tablet contains 20 mg of fluoxetine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.

Contraindications

Indozul is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluoxetine or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those who have stopped using these medications less than 14 days ago. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of mania or bipolar disorder.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Indozul to patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disorders. It is important to monitor patients for the possible appearance of adverse effects, as well as to evaluate the response to treatment. Concomitant use with other medications that may increase serotonin levels is not recommended, due to the risk of serotonin syndrome.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
