Indications

Fexofenadine 180 mg is indicated for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and children over 12 years of age. These symptoms include sneezing, rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal and ocular itching, as well as nasal congestion. In addition, it is useful in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, which is characterized by the appearance of hives and itching on the skin. It is important to note that Fexofenadine works by blocking the effects of histamine, a natural substance in the body that causes allergies. The effectiveness of the medication may vary from person to person, and it is recommended to follow medical instructions for proper use.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Fexofenadine (as hydrochloride) 180 mg.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or to any of the product's excipients. Caution should be exercised in patients with severe renal impairment.

Precautions

Before starting treatment, it is important to evaluate patients with a history of heart disease, as there may be a risk of QT interval prolongation. It is recommended to avoid consuming grapefruit juice, as it may increase the concentration of the medication in the blood. Use in combination with other antihistamines is not recommended without proper medical supervision.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
